How to activate pairing mode on a speaker
Before you can pair anything, you’ll need to put the Bluetooth speaker into pairing mode, which will allow the phone to discover it for initial setup. While each speaker enters pairing mode using a different method, these two tips should have you figure out how to get your speaker compliant quickly. If the following suggestions do not apply to your device, please refer to the speaker manufacturer’s user guide for further instructions.

Press and hold power : Many Bluetooth speakers go into pairing mode by turning off the speaker and turning on the device while holding down the power button. To notify you that the speaker is in pairing mode, it will usually make a sound or its indicator light will begin to flash rapidly.
Long press the pairing button: Some Bluetooth speakers have a dedicated button to put the device into pairing mode. Look for a button on your device with the Bluetooth symbol next to it and hold it down until you hear the speaker make a sound or the indicator light begins to flash rapidly.
With the Bluetooth speaker now discoverable, it can be paired with iPhone or Android phone.
How to Connect a Bluetooth Speaker to an iPhone
The process of connecting a Bluetooth speaker to your iPhone only has to be done once. Once a Bluetooth speaker has successfully paired with your iPhone, it will connect automatically every time you turn it on.
Easily connect your Bluetooth speaker to your iPhone.
- Start by putting your Bluetooth device into pairing mode.
- On your iPhone, open Settings .
- Select Bluetooth .
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on at the top of the screen. If the switch is green, your Bluetooth is already activated and nothing needs to be changed. If not, tap the toggle.
- Scroll down to Other Devices and find the name of your new Bluetooth speaker in the given list. Please be patient as it may take a moment for it to appear.
- Note : Make sure your Bluetooth speaker is still in pairing mode during this time.
- Once it appears, tap it to connect.
How to connect a bluetooth speaker to an android phone
Just like with an iPhone, the process of connecting a Bluetooth speaker to your Android device only has to be done once. Once a Bluetooth speaker has been successfully paired with your device, it should automatically connect each time it is turned on.
Note : The information below should apply no matter who made your Android phone: Samsung, Google, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc.

- Start by putting your Bluetooth device into pairing mode.
- On your device, swipe down from the top of the screen to display the notification center.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen again to expand your notification center to full view.
- Touch and hold Bluetooth to open your device’s Bluetooth settings.
- Make sure Bluetooth functionality is turned on at the top of the screen via the toggle; once `On’ appears, you are good to go.
- Tap Pair new device to start searching for new devices.
- Find the name of your new Bluetooth speaker in the given list. Be sure to be patient as it may take a moment for it to appear.
- Note : Make sure your Bluetooth speaker is still in pairing mode during this time.
- Touch the name of the speaker to connect to it.
How to pair multiple speakers at once
Some popular Bluetooth speakers can be connected in tandem to a single phone for stereo sound or just to boost volume. If you have a pair of the same speakers that can be connected at the same time, you need to download the manufacturer’s mobile app from Google Play or the Apple App Store to get started.
