Last night, Microsoft again released an update for Windows 10 Version 1803 Spring Creators Update with the update KB4338548 . It changes the Windows 10 build number to version 17134.83 .
According to Microsoft’s description, this update KB4338548 fixes an issue in which versions 2017 and 2018 of Intuit QuickBooks Desktop cannot run in multi-user mode on Windows 10 devices of version 1803. This multi-user QuickBooks service cannot cope with the error
“Windows was unable to start the QuickBooksDBXX service on the local computer”
and
“Error 193: 0xc1”
be started. QuickBooks is a software company Intuit Inc, which was particularly known by the software ” Quicken ” (Online Banking) and today QuickBooks is a financial accounting software offering.
As always, this update KB4338548 is a cumulative Windows 10 update for 1803 and can be installed either via the Windows Update Catalog or via the Windows Update function.
The update KB4338548 is relatively large and allows the conclusion that not only the bug described above has been fixed. In the 32-bit version it has a size of almost 210MB, for Windows 10 64-Bit, however, it is over 430MB. The update KB4338548 is of course also available for ARM64-based systems and for Windows Server 2016 (1803).
