Microsoft has just released update KB4103727 for Windows 10 Version 1709 Fall Creators Update . This is probably the most important Windows 10 update on this patch day in May 2018, alongside the 1803 Feature Update , which we reported on at noon today . Update KB4103727 is again a cumulative update for 1709 and it raises the Windows 10 build number to 16299.431 .
The update KB4103727 can now be downloaded and installed using the Windows Update Catalog or the normal Windows Update function.
Microsoft has also integrated numerous bug fixes in this update . The details are:
- It fixes an issue in IE that can cause communication between web workers to fail in certain asynchronous scenarios with multiple visits to a website.
- Updates IE and Microsoft Edge Browser to include the video pre-fetch flag in certain scenarios.
- Fixes problems on AMD platforms, which after a continuation of Hibernate (S4) leads to a temporary loss of functionality of the USB connection.
- The update increases the minimum length of the user account in Group Policy from 14 to 20 characters.
- Addresses an issue with the April 2018 Windows Servicing update that causes App-V scripts (user scripts) to stop working.
- Addresses an issue that prevents customers from typing Hangul correctly using Microsoft’s Korean IME in Microsoft Word Online.
- This fixes a problem that prevents customers from choosing a Microsoft add-in on a second monitor.
- Fixes a known issue in KB4093105 that could cause Windows 10 Mixed Reality devices to display the message “Windows Mixed Reality software could not be downloaded”.
