With the Windows 10 Version 1809 (Build 17763) upgrade Microsoft released the latest Windows 10 Feature Update last night, as expected.

With the release of this 1809 upgrade for Windows 10, Microsoft waived an official name such as Fall Creators, Spring Creators, etc. This version of Windows 10 1809 is also known as Redstone 5 .
You can either download the upgrade via the Windows Update function , as can be seen here below, or via the Media Creation Toolkit .
After installation, Windows 10 shows build number 17763.1 .
Microsoft has released the following issues and incompatibilities with the 1809 update :
- Intel Audio displays an intcdaud.sys notification. Microsoft and Intel have identified a compatibility issue with a number of Intel Display Audio device drivers, which can result in excessive processor requirements and reduced battery life. As a result, the update process to Windows 10 version 1809 ( KB4465877 ) fails; customers who see this notification when they set up their Windows 10 October 2018 update have an Intel Audio Display device driver (intcdaud.sys, versions 10.25.0.3 – 10.25 .0.8) installed on their systems.
The following workarounds are available:
- On the What Needs Your Attention Notification page, choose the Back button to stay on your current version of Windows 10. To ensure a seamless experience, we block the deployment of Windows 10 version 1809 until updated Intel device drivers are installed on your current operating system. For more information, see Knowledge Base Article 4465877.
- We recommend that you do not try to manually upgrade to Windows 10 version 1809 by using the Update Now button or using the Microsoft Software Download Center’s Media Creation Tool. Wait until newer Intel device drivers are available with the update. This page will be updated when the block is removed.
- You can wait for newer drivers to be installed automatically through Windows Update, or you can ask the computer manufacturer for the latest availability and installation of the device driver software. For more information, see Intel Customer Support.
