Configure screen off on Windows 10 lock screen

We have already reported several times about the Windows power options , including how you can configure the time limit for switching off the hard drive . Today we would like to show you how you can configure the time limit for the Windows 10 lock screen, i.e. after what time the monitor switches off in the lock screen or lock screen .

By default, Windows 10 is set to turn off the lockscreen screen after 1 minute . By default, the configuration option of this lock screen power option is hidden and you have no way to configure the monitor to be turned off on the lock screen. You can change this with the following trick. However, this requires a little intervention in the Windows registry.

Below we have shown you what the energy options look like in a standard Windows 10 system.

To add another option there, you have to call the following path in the Windows Registry Editor (regedit.exe).

Computer HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Control Power PowerSettings 7516b95f-f776-4464-8c53-06167f40cc99 8EC4B3A5-6868-48c2-BE75-4F3044BE88A7

There are already numerous entries in this path, but we have to change the following value.

Attributes

Attributes registry

The default is ” 1 “. If you change this value to ” 2 “, the following option also appears after you call up the energy options again
