All the Star Wars series on Disney +, ordered according to their score

Obi-Wan Kenobi

The Star Wars universe is one of the richest, most influential and most prolific in the audiovisual world. And not now, but for all time. Something with the stamp of Star Wars is synonymous with good sales and millions of potential viewers. Today we bring all the series on Disney + that are based on this incredible universe.

If you grew up in the 70s, Star Wars is probably everything to you. If you were born in the 90s, it is likely that Star Wars means a lot in your life. If you are from the 2000, more of the same. It is the universal and beautiful thing about Star Wars: it has been creating fans and marveling the world for more than four decades.

The universe that George Lucas created between 1973 and 1974 (years in which he was working on the original script for the first film, Star Wars: A New Hope) has become a benchmark in the world of cinema forever, with an influence brutal that has dragged celluloid for decades.

When something comes out under the umbrella of this brand, you know it’s going to make millions, that’s why Disney decided to buy the brand from Lucas Film in 2012. Since then, the Mickey Mouse company has made billions of euros thanks to a story of good versus evil.

Other data

As pundits have explained for years, Star Wars is basically the space narrative of the hero’s journey. More or less what literature has been since Homer began writing the Iliad back in the 8th century BC. Because even then good adventures were written.

But, returning to the subject that concerns us today, in this text what we want is to order all the Star Wars series that are available within the Disney service (Disney+, as you well know) but with a different scale: we are going to place them from best to worst according to critics. Let’s go there!

The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian

Disney Plus

Set after the fall of the Empire and before the appearance of the First Order, the series follows in the footsteps of Mando, a bounty hunter belonging to the legendary tribe of the Mandalorians, a lone gunfighter who works in the confines of the galaxy, where it is not enough the authority of the New Republic.

The Mandalorian, as it is known in Anglo-Saxon territory, is the best series in the entire Star Wars universe with an 8.7 on IMDb. To the pride of Disney, this IP was created under the current tutelage of Jon Favreau, the head of the works that have the new Disney seal.

With Pedro Pascal as the protagonist (playing Din Djarin), he is accompanied by actors of the stature of Rosario Dawson, Carl Weathers or Giancarlo Esposito. For lack of quality it is not, honestly.

It is a very fun adventure, where the connection between the Mandalorian and Grogu (Baby Yoda, as he was known at the beginning) do wonders for the public. This western (because the series is a western, with all of the law) is on Disney + where you can already find two complete seasons.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

More and more Systems fall under the power of the Dark Side. Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano are sent on a dangerous mission. Count Dooku and his sinister agents will try to stop them… If you are between 25 and 35 years old, surely you have seen and enjoyed it.

This series was on the air between 2008 and 2020 due to some breaks in production. Luckily, the people of Disney recovered the project to finish one of the animated series that have been most remembered in the last decade.

Thrawn Alliances

Hayden Christensen returns as Anakin Skywalker in the new Star Wars novel

With an 8.4 on IMDb, the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series proves to be a solid, well-rounded work that adds richness to the Star Wars universe. Delving into an Anakin who is flirting with the dark side and a Padawan as interesting as Ahsoka, the fun was served.

On Disney + there is the entire series, to enjoy all its seasons. Perfect to watch with the little ones in the house… or alone, what the hell. If you like Star Wars and you haven’t seen it, you’ll be surprised.

  • Duration : 25 minute episodes

the bad consignment

Star Wars La remesa mala

A “bad batch” of elite experimental clones try to make their way through an ever-evolving galaxy just as the first consequences of the Clone Wars begin to be experienced.

Another animated series that triumphed among critics. This original work has a 7.9 on IMDb which makes it one of the must-see on the list. Being the most different, without well-known or renowned characters behind it, the bad batch was very popular. For being fun and naughty.

Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope

The most awarded at the Oscars that did not win Best Picture, such as Star Wars or Dune

At the moment there is a season on Disney + and a second has already been confirmed that it would have to come out in the fall of this 2022.

Once again, a success for the current Disney that opted for this work that raised so many good joys among fans of the Star Wars universe.

  • Title : The Bad Remittance
  • Release date : 2021
  • Duration : 19 minute episodes
  • Platform : Disney+

boba fett book

boba fett book

Spin-off of The Mandalorian focused on the bounty hunter Boba Fett and his lieutenant Fennec Shand, who return to the planet Tatooine dealing with the galactic underworld to reclaim the territory that Jabba the Hutt once ruled.

To understand this series, it is best to enjoy The Mandalorian, seasons 1 and 2, as we explain in the synopsis. And while this series is not that round, the work has a 7.3 on IMDb which makes it the fourth best Star Wars series on Disney +.

Spiderman Homecoming

Spider-Man returns home: all the wall-crawling movies that premiere on Disney + in the coming days

Of course, it is again a series that came from the mind of Jon Favreau, one of the most influential and important creatives within Disney, and not only for Star Wars, but also for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This series can be enjoyed without any problem, and if you are a lover of original films, you may even find it fascinating. Seeing Temuera Morrison, with those snow-white teeth running through the dunes of Tatooine is fascinating.

  • Release date : 2021
  • Duration : 39 minute chapters
  • Platform : Disney+

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Following the destruction of the Republic and the rise of the Empire, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi must deal with the aftermath of his greatest defeat: the loss of his friend and apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, to the dark side.

The series, awaited by all Star Wars fans as the thirsty one hopes to find a river on his journey, arrived a few weeks ago at Disney + to delight us with the adventures of Master Obi-Wan on his mission on Tatooine, where he watched over and cared from the shadows to Luke Skywalker, while he was growing up.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan manages to break records on Disney + and that can be bad for Star Wars

The series is placed in penultimate position with a 7.1 on IMDb because, to be honest, critics have not liked it too much . Weak script, lack of action, plot inconsistency… only the masterful performance of Ewan McGregor and the last episode brings back a series that went straight to suspense.

From the outside, it seems that the writers wanted to leave everything interesting for that last wonderful final chapter, where everything is answered in due time. Despite everything, the series is enjoyable and if you like the character it is a must see. Will we see a season 2?

  • Title : Obi-Wan Kenobi
  • Release date : 2022
  • Duration : 50 minute episodes
  • Platform : Disney+

Star Wars: Visions

Star Wars: Visions

Animation series consisting of several independent episodes animated by multiple Japanese studios, offering rich and novel visions of the Star Wars universe with a philosophy similar to that of projects such as “Animatrix”.

If you are a fan of samurai stories, you will discover that Visions is nothing more than the reinterpretation of old Japanese stories where the protagonist instead of a katana draws a lightsaber.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Marvel’s latest hit comes to Disney+ after bursting the box office: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Of all the series it is the weakest, without contributing almost anything to the universe, and being just a work to pass the time if what you like are the combats of Jedi knights against Sith. On IMDb it has a 7 and it is most likely that they have come up with the score.

The series is fine for completers, but may be unnecessary for those who want to learn more about the Star Wars universe, since it’s not canon to Disney itself. Give it a try this weekend if they don’t show anything on TV.

  • Title : Obi-Wan Kenobi
  • Release date : 2022
  • Duration : 50 minute episodes
  • Platform : Disney+

And so far the list, ordered from best to worst, the series that we have on Disney + set in the Star Wars universe, a universe so rich and so unexploited that Disney could spend the next two decades premiering series and movies and they still would not have exhausted the formula … or yes?
